JUNIOR REFEREE TRAINING INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION
NEW JUNIOR REFEREES
Candidates must submit an online registration and mail in the $10 registration fee. The training sessions will consist of three parts (two classroom sessions and a field session), as follows:
Part I: Classroom Session
Sunday, August 8- 1:00-4:00 p.m., Exec Office Building (101 Monroe St., Rockville)
OR
Wednesday, August 11, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Exec Office Building (101 Monroe St, Rockville)
Part II: Classroom Session
Sunday, August 15- 1:00-4:00 p.m., Exec Office Building (101 Monroe St., Rockville)
OR
Thursday, August 19, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Exec Office Building (101 Monroe St, Rockville)
Part III: Field Session
Sunday, August 22- 1:00-4:00 p.m., Tilden Center, (6300 Tilden La., Rockville)
OR
Sunday, August 29, 1:00-4:00 p.m., Tilden Center (6300 Tilden La., Rockville)
Important Note for New Junior Ref Candidates: A candidate must attend both CLASSROOM Sessions I and II before attending the FIELD session. No exceptions!!
Candidates who successfully complete the training are provided a Junior Referee shirt, rule book, whistle, and yellow/red cards, at the conclusion of the course. Additionally, they should be prepared to schedule assignments for games at the conclusion of their final training session as that opportunity may be available. The first recreational games of the season will be played on Saturday, September 11, 2010.
Registration for New Junior Referees for the Fall 2010 season is closed. We will be offering classes next spring. Please check this page in February for the training schedule.
RETURNING JUNIOR REFEREES
Experienced Junior Referees are required to complete refresher training prior to each season. A online registration must be submitted by the deadline date indicated below. There is no cost for the refresher training.
Refresher Training
(Classroom) Tuesday, August 17- 6:30-8:00 p.m., MSI Office, (7650 Standish Pl, #108, Rockville)
OR
(Field) Sunday, August 22- 1:00-3:00 p.m., Tilden Center, (6300 Tilden La., Rockville)
OR
(Field) Sunday, August 29, 1:00-3:00 p.m., Tilden Center (6300 Tilden La., Rockville)
NOTE: Returning referees have the option of attending a refresher classroom training at the MSI office or helping for two hours at one of the New Junior Referee Training sessions at Tilden Center.
Registration Deadline for Returning Referees: Three business days prior to your scheduled refresher or field training.
