MSI announces the retirement of Doug Schuessler, MSI’s Chief Executive Officer. Doug has spent the past 22 years dedicated to building the local soccer community, with many accomplishments. He has led the growth of MSI into an organization that currently serves over 9,000 boys and girls in Montgomery County. In addition, he was instrumental in partnerships with the Soccerplex and the Montgomery County Public School system, which resulted in the construction of 4 synthetic turf fields for use by all MSI players and MCPS students. Doug also coached the boy’s varsity soccer team at Thomas Wootton High School in Rockville, guiding them to a state championship in 2012, and represented MSI and held Board positions with the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association. We thank Doug for his tireless efforts that benefitted all MSI players and families.
MSI is pleased to announce that Gus Delgado has joined MSI as Director of Programs/Acting Chief Executive Officer. Gus has participated as a player, volunteer, coach, board member, and director for the past 25 years at Brit-Am Soccer Academy, Potomac Soccer Association, MSI, Alianza Lima, Municipal, and Deportivo Cantolao in Peru. Welcome, Gus!
