This document (“Privacy Policy”) discloses the privacy practices for www.msisoccer.org, a website (the “Site” or “Website”) owned by Montgomery Soccer, Inc. (“MSI”) and operated by EDS, a Third Party (together, “We” or “Us”). As part of the normal operation of MSI’s services, We collect and, in limited situations, disclose information about you. This Privacy Policy describes the information We collected about you and what may happen to that information.
Minors. If you are a minor, you can use this service only in conjunction with, or with the permission of, your parent(s) or guardian(s). If you are a minor, please do not submit any personal information. IF YOU ARE 13 YEARS OR YOUNGER, PLEASE DO NOT USE WWW.MSISOCCER.ORG OR ANY OF ITS SERVICES FOR ANY PURPOSE AT ANY TIME.
Information from Children. We operate the MSI Website in compliance with all requirements and guidance under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). We do not sell products or services for purchase by children, and will not collect or post information from a child under the age of 18 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. We will notify the child’s parent or guardian at the e-mail address provided by the prospective User, alerting the parent or guardian to the child’s use of the MSI Website and providing instructions as to how the parent or guardian can delete the child’s registration from the MSI Website. We do not use personally identifying information collected from children for marketing or promotional purposes and do not disclose such information to any third party for any purpose whatsoever.
Information We Collect.
(a) Your Registration Information. To fully use our services, you will need to register using our online registration form, where you will be required to provide us with your contact information and certain other personal information, namely, legal name; postal address; e-mail address; screen name and password; telephone number; method of payment; and, if applicable, credit card number. We may request additional information necessary to establish and maintain User’s account, including but not limited to:
(i) User’s name, birth date, and contact information of an emergency contact, including residential address, phone numbers, and email address;
(ii) Information pertaining to a member of a registered MSI team, including, where applicable, information about a minor child(ren), including their name and birth date;
(iii) Proof of a team member’s age, depending on the applicable MSI program;
(iv) General health information, only as it pertains to the safety of a team member and the experience through MSI of others on a member’s team; and
(v) Screening information as it pertains to volunteers, including information as required by the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (“MSYSA”).
(b) Your Usage of Our Site. We automatically track certain information about you based upon your use of our Site. We use this information to conduct internal research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand and serve our users. This information is compiled and analyzed periodically. This information may include the URL that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, and your IP address.
(c) Cookies. In addition, We use “cookies” on certain pages of our Site. Cookies are small files that can be used to track a user’s steps or automatically generate a user’s password. Some features of our Website may only be available through the use of a cookie. Among other things, cookies allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Cookies can also help us provide information which is targeted to your interests. Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our Site. Most cookies are automatically deleted at the end of a session. YOU MAY DECLINE OUR COOKIES IF YOUR BROWSER PERMITS, ALTHOUGH YOUR USE OF THE SITE MAY THEN BE RESTRICTED (as noted above).
(d) Your Posts. If you choose to post messages using any of our Website’s methods of posting, We will collect such information about you as you may choose to disclose.
(e) Your Correspondence. If you send us e-mails, letters or other personal correspondence, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Website, We may collect such information into a file specific to you.
(f) Your Online Purchases. If you establish an account to make online purchases with us, We collect some additional information, including billing address, debit or credit card number, and debit of credit card expiration date and tracking information from other forms of payment, if used.
Our Use of Your Information.
(a) Promotional Use. We use personal information about you to enhance our marketing and promotional efforts, and to improve our content and services. We may also use your information to deliver to you advertisements, new services and promotions, and other information to you that is targeted to your interests. You can avoid receiving some of this information by changing your options on your account page.
(b) Administrative Notices, etc. We use your e-mail address, your mailing address, and phone number to contact you regarding administrative notices and communications relevant to your use of the Site. If you do not wish to receive these communications, you may have the ability to opt out on your account page.
(c) Dispute Resolution. We use information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce other existing agreements with MSI.
Our Disclosure to Third Parties. We use practices that are consistent with standards in the industry to protect your privacy. We cannot, however, promise that your personally identifiable information or private communications will remain private. For example, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. WE DO NOT SELL OR RENT ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU TO ANY THIRD PARTY. The following describes some of the ways that your personally identifiable information may be disclosed.
(a) MSI’s Governing Bodies and Insurer. MSI is governed by two entities: US Youth Soccer and Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (“MSYSA”). A limited set of User’s personal information is shared with these governing bodies as a requirement of registration with MSI. Further, a limited set of User’s personal information is shared with our insurer in connection with insurance coverage for an MSI athlete’s insurance coverage.
(b) Law Enforcement. We may disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.
(c) Advertisers. We disclose aggregate information about our users to advertisers and for other marketing and promotional purposes. However, WE DO NOT DISCLOSE ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION TO ANY OF THESE ENTITIES.
(d) MSI Staff and Volunteers. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information to staff and directors of MSI, as well as to coaches, managers, conveners, game officials, and other MSI volunteers.
(e) Affiliated Businesses. We may work closely with affiliated businesses operating website stores, providing services or selling products on each other’s Websites. Where affiliated businesses are providing services or selling products on MSI’s Website, these businesses will identify themselves to MSI’s users. User information related to a transaction with an affiliated business is shared with that affiliated business.
(f) Third Party Suppliers. We may use third party suppliers to assist us in providing the services available on our website. Whenever a third party supplier desires to collect information about you, you will be notified of the involvement of the third party supplier, and you will never be required to disclose any information to the third party supplier. We impose contractual restrictions on the use by our third-party suppliers of information concerning you, and we do not permit our third party suppliers to sell your information to other third parties.
(g) Disclosure to Governmental Authorities. We release personal identifying information when we reasonably believe that release is appropriate to comply with the law; to enforce MSI’s agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MSI’s Users, registrants, and users. We may also release such information in an exchange of information with other companies and/or organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Use Limited to Site-Related Communications. Because of the nature of the services offered on www.msisoccer.org, We allow you to access other users’ contact information. You may use such information only for MSI-related communications. MSI-RELATED COMMUNICATION EXPRESSLY EXCLUDES UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL MESSAGES.
(a) No Spam. MSI and our users do not tolerate spam. Therefore, without limiting the foregoing, you are not licensed to add a www.msisoccer.org user to your mail list (email or physical mail) without their express consent after adequate disclosure.
Disclosures You Make to Third Parties. We do not control the privacy policies of third parties. When you disclose information to third parties on www.msisoccer.org (or any other website) about yourself, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third party
