COACHING COURSES

Grassroots Licenses
MSI is excited to announce that we are partnering with MSYSA (Maryland State Youth Soccer Association) to host all four Grassroots Coaching Licenses, with the in-person component taking place at Julius West MS! The Grassroots Licensing Courses, which replaced the F and E License Courses, offer an a-la-carte approach to empower coaches with education that is relevant to their specific coaching needs. Prospective coaches have the option to take any of the four courses in any sequence. All courses involve a 2-hour online component and then a 2-hour field session.

There is a free online introductory course that must be completed before beginning a Grassroots course.

In the future, MSI will host D and C License courses as well, which require completion of Grassroots Licenses to be eligible. Learn more at the US Soccer Grassroots Licensing Courses website.

Classic Coaches
All Classic coaches need to have completed at least one grassroots license as a minimum coaching qualification. Coaches may have a one season grace period to attain a grassroots certification.
