Late Registration Starts Feb. 22

  • November 4-Jaunary 15: Early Registration/Return to Team Window 

    $100.00 per player  


    Returning players registering from November 4 to January 15 will be automatically returned to the team they were on the previous season (for example, for the Spring 2025 season, players will be returned to the team they were on in the Fall 2024 season). Returning Players’ families will receive an invite through LeagueApps to register for their team.  


    Returning players who sign up during this window making a Transfer Request to join a new team will be placed next. Transfer Requests are filled in the order in which you register, so it is important to register as early as possible. If you are uncertain about playing in the Spring but would like to return to your Fall 2024 team if you do, please sign up during the Return to Team window! If you decide not to play and let us know in writing before the February 14 deadline, you will receive a full refund. If you do not sign up during the Return to Team window, you will most likely NOT be able to return to your team.  


    After all returning players are placed, new players will be placed on teams after January 15 based on the order in which they completed registration. Please note that players who did not play in the Fall 2024 season are not eligible for “Return to Team.”  


    ALL players intending to play in the Spring recreation season should register from November 4 – January 15.  

  • January 16-February 22: Open Registration Window 

    $110.00 per player 


    Completed registrations during this time will be placed on an available recreation team. Players will be placed and requests will be considered in the order they are received. Returning players:  Return to Team priority placement no longer applies.


    February 22: The final day to notify MSI that you intend to switch to the Classic or Travel League:  after February 14, a player registered for the Recreation League, who has not notified MSI of their withdrawal, will not be permitted to play on a Classic or Travel team. Please see Additional Information for additional instructions.

  • February 23-April 21: Late Registration

    $135.00 per player 


    Registrations completed during this period will be placed on a placement pending list. Team placement for late registrants will proceed as room is available. Please note that team placements may take place as late as after the first scheduled games. Additionally, March 10-14 will be our uniform preparation and distribution window. As a result, registrations completed during this time may not receive a response until the week of Monday, March 17.  


    February 29: Coaches submit first round of practice field requests to MSI. 


    By March 7: Coaches will receive their practice field assignments and reach out to players’ families. If you have not heard from your coach by March 21, please reach out to the MSI office, to your Grade Level Administrator.


    Week of March 17: Game Schedule published.  


    March 29: Opening Weekend of Games!

  • Additional Information

    Online Registration is by Credit Card Only 


    If you wish to pay by cash or check, you must come to the MSI office to register.

    • The MSI office address is:  7650 Standish Place, Suite 108 Rockville, MD  20855, and office hours are M, T, Th, and Fr 10 AM-4 PM.

    Refunds and Withdrawals 


    Refund requests for Spring 2025 must be received by the refund/withdrawal deadline of February 14, 2025 at 11:59 PM. All refund requests are subject to a $35 administrative fee except in the following circumstances. 


    • Any returning player who signs up during the return to team window of November 4-January 15. 
    • Any player who registers during late registration and is unable to be placed on a team by MSI staff are eligible for a full refund. 

    How to request a refund/withdraw from the Recreation Program:


    To withdraw from the MSI Recreation Program, please send an email to msi@msisoccer.org with the header “Refund/Withdrawal Spring 2025”. Please include in the email the following information:  

    • Name of the child being withdrawn 
    • Age group of the child being withdrawn  
    • Reason for withdrawal

    Failure to include relevant information will delay the processing of your refund. Refunds will not be processed until after the start of the Spring season. 


    After February 14, 2025, there will be no refunds for Spring 2025, unless we are unable to place your player on a team.
