Kindergarten Kickstart Program (Gamedays)

The MSI Kindergarten Kickstart program is dedicated to providing both players and parents with an exciting weekend event. To complement the program, we also host skill-building practice sessions for the players.  Our coaches, who specialize in developing kindergarten players, lead all skill-development activities. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a supportive and inclusive community atmosphere where they can bond with other families, cheer on their little ones, and create cherished memories together—making every weekend match an event to remember.

Registration

  • When you register, you can request that your player be teamed up with a friend/family member. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot offer a 100% guarantee.
  • If you would like to become a parent volunteer for your player’s team, you can express your interest when completing the registration form.
  • If you would like your player to have a specific coach, you can request that coach when completing the registration form.

Gamedays

First Day Arrival

  • On the first day of the season , families will be directed to the check-in area. At check-in, they will receive clear information about their assigned volunteer coach, field location, and jersey pickup. The help desk offers complimentary coffee and bagels for parents to enjoy.
  • Uniforms will be distributed to the players by MSI coaches.

On-the-field experience

  • Players will spend 20 minutes playing exciting games where they’ll get plenty of plenty of touches on the ball, and shots on goal, as well as learn to keep the ball away.
  • After the warm-up games, players will be divided into 4 small squads of 2 or 3 players and placed on multiple small soccer fields where they play against squads from other teams. A volunteer coach assists an MSI coach in managing each game. The coaches constantly roll soccer balls onto the field. Coaches make sure each player gets lots of touches, makes their own decisions, and scores goals so each player has a great time.

Equipment

Players will receive a jersey upon the arrival of the first session, and they will wear that jersey for the fall season. All kindergartners should wear proper soccer attire, which includes:
