Classic League Overview

The MSI Classic League is a unique program that bridges the gap between playing for the love of the game at the Recreation level and the elite competition and commitment of a travel program. Our Classic League is a competitive environment, all played on fields within Montgomery County. Each Classic team is autonomous and manages its own player selection and team budget, so player costs to participate and time commitment levels will vary depending on whether the team is led by a paid coach or is volunteer-led.

How does the Classic program work?

The Classic League offers a competitive level of play for dedicated and skilled players, all held within Montgomery County and run by MSI.

Teams in the Classic League are autonomous within the MSI environment: Classic teams manage player recruitment, team management and budget, and player payment.

MSI has a level of play for everyone, with the Classic League serving as a bridge-league between Recreation and Travel.

  • Competitive level on par with area travel leagues, without having to leave Montgomery County!
  • Opportunity for neighborhood friends to play together, like in the Recreation leagues.
  • Fields, referees, and scheduling are all taken care of, including deconflicting! Great for coaches with multiple teams.
